All cats, regardless of gender or breed, carry allergens in their saliva. When cats groom themselves, they spread the saliva onto their hair & dander.  As the cat sheds, the allergen on the hair and dander is dispersed throughout the home. When cats eat LiveClear, the key ingredient binds to the Fel d 1 allergen in cat saliva and neutralizes it — simply, and safely.

All cats produce the major cat allergen Fel d 1 — regardless of breed, age, hair length, sex or body weight. During a landmark Purina study, 97% of cats fed LiveClear cat food showed decreased levels of active Fel d 1 on their hair and dander, starting in the 3rd week of feeding.

LiveClear doesn’t affect your cat’s overall physiology. In fact, your cat will continue to produce allergens and shed as normal. The key ingredient in LiveClear, a specific protein found in eggs, simply binds to the Fel d 1 allergen in cats’ saliva and neutralizes it, safely.

Yes. Our key ingredient simply neutralizes the Fel d 1 allergen in cat’s saliva. This is a safe, feline-friendly approach and does not interfere with Fel d 1 production or the cat’s overall physiology.

No prescription is needed. LiveClear is available for purchase online and over the counter at a wide range of retailers. Click BUY NOW to select your preferred retailer.

Yes. But to get the full allergen-reducing effect, LiveClear should be your cat’s primary food.

LiveClear has been shown to reduce the allergens in cat hair and dander by an average of 47%, starting in the 3rd week of daily feeding.

The allergen-reduction effect will stop.

Every ingredient in Pro Plan formulas serves a specific purpose. Purina Pro Plan and Purina ONE are both science-based pet food brands offering super premium nutrition. Purina Pro Plan offers a broader range of formulas—more than 160 formulas, compared to 50-plus formulas for Purina ONE. The extensive array of Pro Plan formulas provides more specific breed size and special need choices. For example, while Purina ONE offers two Large Breed dry dog formulas, Purina Pro Plan offers eight Large Breed dry dog formulas including Puppy, Adult 7+ Bright Mind, Adult Weight Management, and Sensitive Skin & Stomach options. Pro Plan dry formulas typically feature higher levels of key nutrients, such as antioxidant vitamins, glucosamine, and fatty acids. Additionally, a larger number of Pro Plan dry formulas are fortified with live probiotics for digestive and immune health. Pro Plan formulas are premium-priced compared to Purina ONE but typically require lower feeding amounts. Lastly, Pro Plan is exclusively sold at pet specialty retailers and online, whereas Purina ONE is broadly distributed across all retail channels.

In 2020, Pro Plan dry formulas underwent a renovation. Driven by the desire to provide pets with the world’s most advanced nutrition, Pro Plan optimized some of its dry formulas and renovated its packaging design. This renovation included updated packaging designs and new formula names, optimized formulations (including the addition of guaranteed live probiotics) and some minor ingredients shifts, as well as new labeling to reflect the latest regulatory guidelines.

An ingredient realignment or minor shift of ingredients means that the order of the ingredients has changed.  For example, if salmon meal was the 9th ingredient in a previous formula, in the reformulated product it might now be the 8th ingredient.

We suggest you review the feeding recommendations as some may have changed due to minor differences in caloric content. For more precision, different levels of activity should be taken into consideration. These new feeding guidelines are clearly shown on the Pro Plan packaging. Pro Plan Pet Food with Probiotics

Probiotics are live microorganisms that, when consumed in adequate amounts, have a health benefit to the pet.

The probiotics in select dry Purina Pro Plan SAVOR formulas can exert a positive impact on digestive health by balancing the levels of bacteria in your pet’s intestines.

They can also help support immune health.

We have been studying probiotics and pet nutrition for decades. Most probiotics cannot survive different variables such as temperature.

We carefully chose a probiotic that is robust and stable enough to survive our pet food manufacturing process, transportation and storage.

The probiotic we chose is safe for both dogs and cats, delivering a positive benefit for your pet.

Yes, the strain we chose to add to our select SAVOR formulas is also a strain found in numerous food and beverage products.

Because we chose a stable and robust probiotic for our select SAVOR dry formulas, mixing water, wet food, or toppers with your SAVOR dry formula will not damage or kill the probiotic.
